Award-winning c of the UK’s first zero-waste restaurant, Silo in Brighton.

Maya Njie is the founder of a unique and unisex perfume brand which focusses on high quality, artisanal blends that are deeply rooted in her Swedish and West African heritage.  Her formulas are developed in-house, using a variety of essential oils, aroma compounds and resins.


Trained in surface design and photography, Maya Njie began experimenting with the sense of smell while studying. Inspired by an old family album, she set out to capture memories of familial life through scent.. After graduating and further experimenting with the olfactory world, Maya eventually taught herself perfumery.


As part of the workshop, Maya instructed guests in how to create their own customised perfume inspired by the notes from Charles Heidsieck champagnes such as rose, peach, vanilla, almond, ginger and blackcurrant as well as musk, bergamot, vetiver, sandalwood and ambergris.


All guests were then able to take home their own unique, hand-blended perfume in a bespoke pipette bottle with accompanying atomiser vials.
